Q. How do I delete a project?

A. When you login as the 'Administrator' for your Zoho Projects account and when you click on a project name at the left panel, the project dashboard that opens up has the project name at the top followed by three icons. The last one, the 'X' icon will be named as 'Clear Project'. Clicking on it will clear all project details. Only a blank project will remain. You can re-name it and reuse it for new projects.

Caution : Once you clear the project data, it can't be retrieved. We are coming up with a back-up facility soon that will allow you you to store all your project data to your computer before you clear a project. Till then use 'Clear Project' judiciously.


Q. I can log into Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet and Zoho Planner without difficulty. But Zoho Projects fails to recognize my Zoho email address and password. Why?

A. Zoho has a Single Sign-on (SSO) system which allows Zoho users to access multiple Zoho services using a single user name (or email ID) and a password. Unfortunately, the Zoho SSO system doesn't cover all of Zoho's services at this point of time. The Zoho services that come under SSO now are : Writer, Sheet, Show, Wiki, Planner, Creator, Chat. Virtual Office and Notebook also come under SSO but are under private testing. So, kindly sign-up separately for Zoho Projects please.

We will be extending the SSO system to Projects, CRM and other Zoho services in the near future.

Q. How do I add users to my projects?

A. Login to your Zoho Projects account. You can either use "New User" link at the left-bottom or go to "Settings" -> "People View" for adding new users. You can add a user as a client too by clicking on "Settings" -> "Client View" -> "Add Client".

Q. I'm an Administrator and I added a few users. My users don't know how to login to Zoho Projects.

A. For the users you added, they will be receiving an email about you adding them up and a random generated password. They can visit http://projects.zoho.com,/ type their email ID for user name and the password they got for logging in.

In case they haven't received the email (the email could have wrongly landed in spam/bulk folders etc), please ask them to follow the below steps :

# Visit http://projects.zoho.com/
# Click on the 'Forgot Password' link.
# Type his/her email ID (the same email ID that you used to add him/her as a user) as the login name and click on the 'Submit' button.
# The user will receive an email with a HTML link in it. Clicking on the link the user will be taken to a page where they can choose a new password.
# Using his/her email ID and the newly chosen password, the user can login at http://projects.zoho.com/

Q. I'm not able to login with my user name and password.


A. Please check your password again.Check for space inbetween, CAPS LOCK while entering password.If still the issue persists use the "Forgot password" option to reset your password and try to login.
