Q. What is the difference in importing presentations in 'Read Only' and 'Read/Write' modes?

When in 'Read Only' mode, each slide is made as an image. This way the import quality is better & hence we recommend this. But the caveat here is the slide can't be edited further.

In the 'Read/Write' mode, each slide is imported as is (with images and text embedded in a HTML file) The slides may not come out well when there are a lot of images, complex formatting etc.

So, there is a sort of compromise here : For importing and using the presentation without any further changes, use 'Read Only'. For presentations that need to be edited in Show, import in Read/Write mode but the import quality may not be as good as in 'Read Only' mode.

Q. Can I copy a slide from one show and paste it into another?

A. Yes, you can copy slides from one presentation to another. Right click on the slide to be copied. Choose 'Copy Slide'. Open the presentation where the slide is to be copied. On the right side where the thumb nails are listed, right click and choose 'Paste Slide'. The copied slide will get pasted there.

Q. The 'brushedmetal' theme shows "Slide #slide# of #count#" at the bottom right. How do I delete this?

A. The "Slide #slide# of #count#" is there to show you which slide you are in. This is the default background property of the 'brushedmetal' template that we provide. So, when you make a presentation of say 5 slides, you will get a numbering at the bottom-right like "Slide 1 of 5", "Slide 2 of 5" etc. But this can indeed be removed if you don't like having it. Please follow the below steps to remove this :

# Click on a slide thumbnail at the right (other the title slide)
# Click on the 'Edit Background' button
# The "Slide #slide# of #count#" will now be visible
# Click on it and you will a get bordered box
# Right click on the box there and choose 'Delete'
# Click 'Save' and then click "Back to Slides"

The slide numbering should have vanished in all slides now.

Q. Once a presentation file has been imported into Zoho Show, can you export it to another computer or save it to a flash drive?

A. The file can be exported as HTML and saved to your computer or flash drive. Click on 'Actions' -> 'Export as HTML' option for doing this. We will be providing export as ppt, odp options in future.
